Shanghai’s premier Michelin-starred dining destination serves Modern European cuisine paired with breathtaking views of the Bund, Huangpu River and Pudong skyline. Awarded one Michelin star by The Michelin Guide Shanghai 2017, French Chef de Cuisine Hans Zahner and his fellow countryman, Executive Pastry Chef Lucien Gautier, curate contemporary dining experiences inspired by classic French culinary techniques and the freshest local produce.

Hours:

Lunch: 12:00  pm - 2:30 pm (Monday to Friday)

Brunch:11:30 am - 2:30 pm (Saturday to Sunday)

Dinner: 6:00 pm - 10:30 pm (Monday to Thursday, Sunday)

            6:00  pm - 11:00 pm (Friday and Saturday)

 

*Children under 3 years of age are not accepted. *Effective 1st March 2017,municipal authorities has officially banned smoking in all indoor public venues. In lieu of this new ordinance, The Peninsula Shanghai is no longer able to offer smoking guest rooms while all indoor areas including all restaurants have also been re-designated as non-smoking area.

Meet the Chef Hanz Zahner and Lucien Gautier


At Sir Elly's, French-born Chef de Cuisine Hans Zahner and Executive Pastry Chef Lucien Gautier combine their skills to create refined European menus for Shanghai diners to savour. Inspired by classically trained techniques, both chefs share an abiding passion for pairing French culinary inspiration with fresh Asian and European ingredients.

I am particularly fond of slow cooking fish dishes to preserve the original flavor and its appearance. Also, I enjoy creating light yet fine dishes, especially as more and more guests become healthy-oriented. They would prefer to choose fine dining restaurants where has less butter and sugar.
