World Cup fever has hit Shanghai and Madame Ning was in the mood to Samba. Shanghai's legendary socialite and club hostess invited guests to take a trip to tropical Brazil – a land renowned for its flamboyant carnival parade – and kicked off the competition in style!

On Friday, 27 June, Salon de Ning, Shanghai's most sophisticated nightspot, hosted the "Viva Brazil! Carnival" Party – a night of sizzling Samba, cachaca cocktails and hot Latin beats.

Guests celebrated the theme dressed in yellow and were ready to shake it up in true Rio de Janeiro style. More than one hundred revelers joined the "Viva Brazil! Carnival" Party, including the consul generals from the Consulates of Brazil, Canada and Portugal. A live DJ was spinning Samba, Bossa Nova and sexy dance favourites to fire up the dance floor, while Salon de Ning's mixologists served Caipirinha, Cuba Libre and Ryhito cocktails. A professional makeup artist drew vibrant face paintings of different countries' flags for the partygoers. Not surprisingly, the Brazilian flag seemed the most sought-after flag of the evening.

As one of Shanghai's most anticipated parties of 2014, "Viva Brazil! Carnival" Party attracted 10 media guests, bloggers and social media influencers, including Channel Young, the top lifestyle TV channel in Shanghai, and Femina, as well as Vlife amongst others. It was a spectacular night of colors, music and dancing for all to remember.
